It has been far too long!
I am missing...
Standing in front of the window drinking a cup of hot coffee...
Filling my bird feeders...
Snuggling up with Cleo in our bed, with the feather bed, mattress warmer and down comforter...
The chill in the air early in the morning, until you can smell the pancakes and coffee...
The brisk feel and cleanliness of the air and my complete sense of peace when I escape to my heaven on earth...
I can't wait to get there tomorrow. I'll certainly be up an running with pics as soon as I get back on Sunday!
Denise
PS I like the new PC, but I'm not looking forward to changing over the files....including pics....I've been putting this task off.

Denise - have a great time at your cabin! A lot of the things you listed missing - I feel the same way! I'm sure you'll have a warmer week than I did last week! We won't be back at ours till next weekend and I'm already counting down the days!
Be careful heading north, Denise. I'll be waiting for pictures when you get back!!!!!
By the way, how's your job situation? Good--I hope.
Hugs,
Betsy
I can understand your feeling about switching to new computer. I went through that a year ago. It did force me to do some "house cleaning" in both my files and my Favorites list. Have a wonderful time at the cabin,... relax and enjoy!
I know how much you love it up at the cabin, I however, don't think I would love it enough to go up there when it is so cold. In Florida, this a.m., we were down in the 20's, we are not used to it being this cold, take a drive over to my house, in Prudenville/Houghton Lake, to make sure the roof is still there, under all that snow.Love Mom
I hope you have a safe trip to the cabin and a great time up there.
We're considering new computers ourselves so I understand your dread of transferring files.
Hello Everyone,
Well Denise made it to the cabin OK. But it would appear we have little problem, a leak. She is not sure where the water is coming from but the cabinet in then utility room is wet. Could be either a leaking pipe or an ice dam on the roof which is causing the water to back up under the shingles. I'll find out when I get there tomorrow after work.
I am loaded and ready to go. Got the outdoors close, ice fishing equipment and of course my tools so I can fix the leak.
Don't worry Mom we are going up to your place to check the roof and make sure everything is OK. We will take pictures. 20 degrees in Florida, HMM!! I may have to come down there ice fishing:)
Talk to you all soon.
Bill
Ahhh...such a beautiful picture you at your window with a hot cup of coffee! Sorry about the reality check of water where it shouldn't be..can completely identify with both of those mental pictures! We are hoping to get up and check on our leaky roof tonight if the road has opened up being slightly warmer yesterday and today. Enjoy your week-end! Debbie at Hemlock Haven
Okay Denise, I'm back at your blog again. Want to hear how your weekend was! :-)
