Bill's Christmas List

Bill left me his Christmas list this morning. Let's just say, it tugs on my heart strings. I have comments.

1. My lovely wife gets her stress test done.
It's been a year and a half since I had a heart attack at age 40 and I have yet to have a stress test. I'll make sure this happens just after the first of the year.

2. For the love of my life to exercise and lose weight so that we can grow old together, and yes, I will join her in this endeavor.
Yes, we need to get back to the YMCA so that I work on my cardio and lose the weight to take the stress off of my heart. Who would have thought that smoking accounts for 25% of your metabolism? Not an excuse, just a fact. Also, since stress was a major factor in my heart attack, I am on anti-anxiety medication. Sigh - more added weight. I promise, we will work on this.

I love it when Bill and I go to the Y together and take walks around the lake.

3. Electric razor heads
Maybe

4. New slippers
We'll see

5. Journey's new CD
I dunno...

I think more trips to the cabin and snow shoeing is just what the Doctor will order for a happy healthy wife! I really want to go snow shoeing. There is a trail near Higgins Lake that I'd love to walk.

Denise! So happy to see you about again. I was worried you might have gotten lost on your last drive north. :)

Good luck on your fitness quest. With the hustle and bustle of every day, it is easy to move those things to the side, but keep them at the top! We're all rooting for you. :) And if you ever need any non-spousal encouragement, you know where to find a lot of us! We're here with bells and whistles on.

Come on over, too, if you can and see our bloggyland tour. It was so much fun! :)

Your husband has a good list! i hope you take it easy, do some fun exercise (snow shoeing is the best!) Plus your cabin and the fresh air will provide good medicine too in my opinion - what is more relaxing than that?
My hubby & I need to do more exercise too.

Alicia - I sure wish I had been around for the Christmas in Bloggyland tour.

Shelley - I've been wanting to snow shoe for the longest time. I need to get crackin!

LOL! yeah get crack-a-lackin Denise.
I finally started exercising again-it's a good thing.
Your hubby is so sweet to put you first on his list. I say he deserves the other three items he listed.

What a great hubby you have, Denise. He definitely is a 'keeper.' He cares so much about you--and that is so important.

Make your 2009 resolutions to get HEALTHY. I've fought my weight all of my adult life (up and down and up and down). I finally had to realize that it wasn't the scales that are important. It's eating healthy and exercising--even if it's walking. When I sit on my butt and then eat junk, I'm in trouble, and that doesn't help the stress level. When I'm eating what I'm supposed to eat and getting some exercise, I am SO much better off!!! Being in control of ME helps with the stress. It's never easy though!!!! Just take it--one day at a time!
Hugs,
Betsy

Jen - I always tease him that I'm going to turn him in for a couple of 20-somethings, but he knows better.

Betsy - I'll try, one day at a time.

George - My goal (again, sigh) is 30-60 minutes of cardio, 3-5 times a week. I LOVE to lift weights too, but cardio is best for me.
